Oban Area

Hi anyone have anything for the above, im going up again in Sept, got the Airport and Marine
just wondered if there was anything else of intrest in the area

hi there stealth.... give these a try. all current frequencies .

RETB Rail Radio.. 205.800 . oban to helensburgh upper.
glensanda super quarry .... 453.6125 on site repeater .
oban airport ground repeater .. 461.4625 .

taxi companies... oban taxis . base 165.275 / mobile. 170.075
lorn taxis... base. 165.925 / mobile . 170.725
argyll taxis... base. 165.100 / mobile 169.900 .

scottish fire and rescue still using UHF fire ground radios on 457.0375 . heard just recently .

maybe try some of the pmr 446 channels. some activity on them.. think mostly from local hotels.

Tesco have been using 449.3125 and 453.5875 for security ....good luck with these :smiles:

Always do been going there for years, its not actually in Oban as Such, tiny wee village ...Benderloch...just over the Connel Bridge, love it there, peace quiet ,good and central for going off anywhere, did usual places when bairns were lil .

Bayside Panda, theres 165.9312 ,believed to be a Taxi , thats not on your list if you want to add.
The Glensanda Quarry is quite active ,tone 103.5

Does anyone knows the frequency of Oban Harbour portcontrol?. And maybe the Caledonian MacBrayne ships?

Channel 12 after calling on 16. CalMac use 31 (157.550) for on board / ship to shore comms.
