Another Southgate ARC find.
I am not exactly a regular listener to 6070khz, but I do listen from time to time.

The Amateur owned and run AM Short-wave broadcast station CHANNEL292 will be starting testing on their new 41 metre broadcast band frequency of 7440 kHz from this weekend onwards.

Rainer Ebeling DB8QC who owns and operates the station from near Ingolstadt in the state of Bavaria in southern Germany would appreciate all signal reports which can be sent simply via the form on the website at
or in Google translated English.

Don't forget the existing frequency of 6070KHz in the 49m broadcast band will still carry Channel292's existing programs. The planned programs for both frequencies are available on the website.

Just to add. 292 is an enthusiast run. German, legal shortwave broadcaster. Here in the UK Ofcom refuses to issue SW broadcast licences, but elsewhere in the world low budget, small stations are not just permitted but encouraged.

Hi guys.

I sent a station signal report to this station a couple of months ago, I received a very nice letter and info back from them.
I f you get a good signal then send a report and request a station qsl conformation, there is a good chance you will get a return.
Don't forget to give them your address.
Good luck.
