Watson Super Searcher

Postby Softhead » Sat Sep 06, 2014 5:02 am

Hi, I just wondered if anyone has a Watson Super Searcher Manual, preferably as a PDF, I've trawled the net and I can't find one.

I need to trace the frequency of a PMR system being used, but I guess I'll need to know the CTCSS tone being used. Is there any other type of product that will do this??

Thanks

Looks like the optoelectronics CD100 will also detect all tones being used, CTCSS, DCS * LTR & DTMF codes
But, it's over £600 :shocker:

Close Call is designed for what you want. I have a Watson, but I am not sure what model, but very similar to that. And it is great for close up bench type work as you can alter the size of the gate, (the accuracy of the frequency,) to a level that CC has not been designed to acive.
But for hunting down signals it is great.
Having said the above. In the days before CC I did use my Watson to find frequencies. I use to do a lot of Agency HGV driving & always had my watson with me, so I could grab any frequencies available. But the range on a Watson is probably about a quarter of what I get with CC.
