Repair my scanner.........

Postby transit80 » Wed Aug 05, 2020 2:14 pm

Sometime ago I acquired an old AR 1000 handheld scanner. I managed to find it and put some batterys in it and lo and behold it came on (I had to solder a couple of wires back on first, mainly the battery carrier) but now I have noticed a couple more have come off. The question is, is there anyone who has a diagram or any diagrams of this scanner or is there someone who can sort it for me. Its a bit old and battered but it worked when I bought it and Id like to add it to my collection.
If someone can point me in the right direction I would appreciate it.

To be honest it won't be financially viable to send it away to be fixed as the cost of labour alone would be more than a fully working second-hand one. I know this does not exactly help you but good luck.
