Good Value Ebay Dipoles

Postby G4RMT » Wed Aug 01, 2018 1:07 pm

I needed a couple of cheap dipoles - so looked on Ebay, chose a cheap item, expecting little.

They're great! Not only decent, but adjustable. The two elements are telescopic, with a set screw - so you could easily mark them up for marine, 2m, business and adjust them quickly. Pretty impressed with Moonraker - who I must admit I didn't even know fit was before I bought them.

They come in a sealed plastic bag, which was good because UK Mail managed to deliver it not just damp, but soaking wet with the brown paper used to wrap it drenched. The driver said it rained when he was loading and all the deliveries were wet. I undid it and as the inside was dry, all was well - but he said loads of people just rejected them.

These dipoles are damn good value.

I cant believe you've never heard of Moonraker!!
I've seen things you people wouldn't believe.

Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhauser gate.

All those moments will be lost in time... like tears in rain...

Time to die.

Moonraker also sell on ebay under the Comm-engineer name.
Superyagi-antennas do similar dipoles, but make them from better quality materials.

Although it is £10 more expensive & if you just want a cheap antenna, then moonraker's antennas fits that criteria.
