hi all in the next 2 or 3 weeks i will be buying a scanner but want homebase that covers cap+ could anyone recommend one round the £300 price range or advse on one thank you

The Uniden BCD536HP handles CAP, but you'll have to buy from the US as nobody over here sells it.

Others worthy of investigation (I have neither so you'd need to check exactly what they can decode):

DSD+ & a dongle will do it for well under £400, but you will need to spend some time setting it all up. But I am not sure you will manage Capacity plus for £400 using a plug & play system with a UK available scanner.

Thank you I have seen handheld type for £325 but wanted a home base for a change will keep looking around I have the dad+ and sdr dongle at min it isn’t working to bad but think the audio is very poor

My whistler trx2 will hear cap+ systems. i dont know about following them in a trunked kind of way but i always follow the convos with my trx2 unlike analogue trunking?

Yes I want something like the trx 2 but bit to much for me at minute so may have to get the trx1 handheld

If you are not after NXDN, as a handheld this is a cheaper option: Whistler WS1088, does DMR exactly the same as the TRX-1...
