Thanks Mike best I drop AOR a email and see if they can shed some light on why the Auto Code detection dont work or maybe its a firmware problem .But if it states its got Auto Code Detection on DCR then it should have it any way still trying to get a audio recording of the signal to send to Jim so he can confirm it is DCR . I looked on a shop watch freq today thats listed on WTR Lic Number 1121800/4 2017-07-06 thats listed as DMR on 460.4125 but seems to be coming up as DCR here ? .
I fully understand regarding turning your PM off due to the amount of questions I best then since this forum you cant add attachments its best I put it one of the face book AOR groups but I have a feeling until more people buy this radio its going to remain a mystery but who knows AOR may have some thing up there sleeve .
All ok on a valid NXDN signal during Key search mode it should report the key code within half a second, 00000 for clear or the scramble code, if scrambled the audio will be decoded into the clear.. You need not due anything it is automatic.. Presetting codes etc only puts filters in the way of you hearing anything. I left the radio on all night so I dont think the Auto code Detection is working but will see what AOR have to say .
The Auto code Detection instructions in the manual are wrong and should be this .So if they had this wrong I wonder if it works at all .

So will let you know as many people would like to know what the performance is like and how it compares with other scanners . The only Freqs on this site regarding Colchester I think are out of date .
