What mode is being used on 429.9750 North Essex

I was wondering if any one knew who the users are on 429.9750 + 429.8250 ? Also what Mode are they using ? My auto mode detection tells me its DCR but I thought DCR was only used in Japan and thoughts ?

DCR uses the same format as NXDN4800.

Does it display a RAN code, and does it sounds like the sample here?

Hi Jimh well I have found these unknown signals on
429.9750
429.8250
429.8875
429.4625
424.8250
423.7750
409.5000

If the auto detection DALL on the 5700D is working right every time it comes up as DCR it does come up on the screen with a CODE : No , and below that you get a UC code . On the UC code its got nothing there . Pity I cant do attachments here .

Use the BBCode link in imgur.com for pictures (e.g. this map is UK Coastguard transmitter sites):

I have found out what the signal is as its on 429.9750 , 429.8250 , 429.8875 , 429.4625 , 424.8250 , 423.7750 , 409.5000 and 261.5750 in fact its all over , The signal is a Spurious signal coming from a PMR tower about 1 mile away transmitting DMR . I found this out when I put my old IC-7000 on the DMR signal thats 20 over 9 and every time it seems to come up on the 5700D all over the place a very weak signal but there making the DAL think its a DCR signal . So mystery solved .

Thanks for letting me know about about the BBCode link .

With that number of different frequencies detected as "DCR", I was going to say that its highly unlikely to right (given that NXDN is relatively uncommon in the UK vs DMR).

And I was going to take a guess you were using a 5700D: there appears to be a pattern emerging of the 5700D and false positives on DCR that should be DMR. Here's another example of a wild goose chase: viewtopic.php?f=22&t=6966&hilit=5700
