I have both the 3300 and 9000xlt and with both I can get dsd to 'hear' the signal but it will not decode any voice (just scrolls data) which I know is down to no tap being fitted.

I'm happily decoding now using a cheap sdr/dtv usb dongle, virtual audio cable, sdr# and dsd160...

Listening to pubwatch right now!

Sammy it might be an idea to contact this John as he must have included the lead for some reason, from the look of your video it appears as if it's the wrong inversion but I think I read earlier you've covered that. It should only be showing VOICE when they are actually talking and other Data in between.

I've just recorded a video now where I am adjusting the levels to show how the inlvl affects outputted speech, there is a lot of speech on this one so it will give you an idea, in between the speech the VOICE strings disappear and change to data.

(Video uploading now)

That looks all good, a good clear signal and the inversion is set correctly and decoding fine. I did notice by the tone that there was no speech going on just data which is why there was no VOICE. A Mototrbo system I monitored for weeks was the same, constant transmissions of data but no voice and then recently they started using it for voice, I've noticed others like this too.

The video I uploaded is almost processed on YouTube so I'll post that next, if you listen to the transmission of mototrbo you can hear in the background you'll notice as they speak the data noise changes instead of staying the constant same tone. I only did this clip to highlight how the inlvl affects voice output.

The above radio users started having a bit of a laugh and messing about near the end, and why not, after all they mentioned the other day this system is encrypted and secure as detailed by the suppliers so nobody would ever be listening in on them

On one system I monitor it is about 95% data and 5% voice, another it's all voice and no data apart from a 4 second burst every minute. I've noticed three new TRBO systems set up and continuosly transmit data, two of those now have voice and the newer one is still only transmitting data which seems to be something some new systems do.
