Whistler TRX 2 UK bandplan

Guys With this model & others in the same family.
The band plan is not correct. When doing searches with limits set, of say 162 to 165.5 the steps are 6.25 khz, which makes it stop, off frequency on stong signals.
Plus of course the compromise of IF filter width giving the pause window.
Same in the 70Cm amatuer band, needs to be 12.5 khz step.
Have passed this to Moonraker in the hope they will forward.

The real answer is to have selectable steps in the search menu.

Do you find similar.
Cheers Keith

a 6.25 step will not miss any of the 12.5Khz channels as 12.5 is divisible by 6.25 but it will halve the effective scanning rate . Its the bandwidth that causes the scan to stop on an adjacent channel on strong signals try applying a bit of attenuation if it is a major issue

Yes Chris think you are right.
Had some feed back, NXDN is the priority, user steps are on the wish list.
You can see that anything for the US market would come 1st due to the volume of sales.
Finding it quite a decent tool.Just takes a bit of getting used to.Keith G8IXN
