I Googled the manual for your radio Greg & to be perfectly honest if you have not read the manual sufficiently to see what the D stands for, then maybe you should limit yourself to something like PMR 446, as the answer to you question takes about 2 minutes to find in the manual.
Seriously Greg,you should not be playing with a transceiver that can cause others real issues if your understanding of how this radio works is as poor as it is.
