UBC72XLT Bands?

Postby slackhead » Wed Jan 15, 2014 2:33 pm

Hi

I've just bought my first scanner, a UBC72XLT and I'm a bit confused about which band to use. There are 3 to choose from, all with different steps. Also, it says to reset the handset when changing bands (I haven't reset yet though) so I gather there ought to be a best setting to use?

TIA

Hi mate. I bought the same scanner for my first. After checking out the review for the 72 at http://www.ukmidlandscanner.co.uk/ubc72rev.htm I followed his advice and went with band 3. i guessed he knew what he was talking about when I didn't!
Hope it helps.

Thanks. That's a nice review. I've been using band 3 most of the time and it seems ok.

Yeah me too after reading that. Also that guy uses a watson w-889 antenna for all his reviews. i purchased one at £15 and its a great improvement over the supplied antenna.
