CTCSS can have some really good advantages on RX, I do accept that.
However I still stand by my statement. On RX there is no NEED to use CTCSS. You only NEED CTCSS on TX if the other person or persons on the network are using it, or if it's to open a repeater etc.

My radios, my rules. In fact, our radio's, our rules.

I've no interest in SpoertsDirect staff asking for shoes to be brought out of a stock room when there is better stuff on the same frequency. Next to people wanting frequencies they would like the tones. I also said in the past that before I knew the tone used by UK MRT's and others, my radio's kept stopping on carriers, when I added the tone, they interference stopped. I don't want to spend a lot of time making up programmes for my radio's only to have to lock lots of them out because someone says how OUR radios have to be set up.
