base scanner frequencies

hi everyone. i'm new to the group my name is brian k. i have a uniden 355 base scanner. never owned one before so still trying to get used to putting in the frequencies... just wondering is it possible to receive liverpool shop security frequencies om my scanner.. thanks

Your scanner probably covers the frequency, but it will almost certainly be a digital transmission, so all you will hear is noise. The way to find active frequencies that you can hear where you are, with your set up, is to do some band scans, but I do not think your radio does band scans, other than on pre programmed into the radio American bands.

like i said mate. i have never has a scanner before so i'm just treading water. ha ha... in fact i have never been on one of these sites before. so i' trying to get used to sending texts and trying to understand how things work amongst the group.... upto now i think the group is ok. in a few weeks i will be able to do things on the group once i get used to it...
