Hi All,

I have a Uniden-UBC125XLT and use the search function which I think goes through the whole range on this unit. Two questions please:

1 - Can you set it to just search Am or FM; and
2 - Can it be set to search only a specified range ie: 400Mhz as it takes ages to just go round and round.

Cheers.

There is really no need to set the scanner to search separately in AM or FM. As in general only Airband is in AM. Everything else in Analogue other than things Amateurs, who can use SSB, which is half an AM signal, are in FM.
So no real advantages to searching separately in AM & FM, as you scanner will search Air Bands in AM & everything else in FM.
Yes you can set search within pre set limits. I do not have a 125. But it will either be called a band scan or a limit search. And you can set the scanner to search any limit you want.
I prefer to search Civil Airband in small chunks of a few MHz at a time, as like that I find more traffic.

Leave modulation set to Auto. You want "custom search" edit the bands to scan in "edit custom"
