CG187 frequency??

Postby jamesfromsomerset » Wed Jan 16, 2019 6:59 pm

Hi all,
CG187 is currently active in Combe Martin on some form of operation and I tried to listen in on 156.375 and 156.0 and the polycon 419.1375 but they’re silent, I’m not sure wether it’s my trashy scanner or if they’re using a different polycon, anyone know what they might be using?

Have a look at this post/video here which shows a various number of freqs and bands used in a standard sar incident viewtopic.php?f=16&t=3704

419.1375 is one of the most popular polycon frequencies but there are others. see viewtopic.php?f=10&t=83

also are the mountain rescue team working channels many of which are changing from analogue to dmr plus they have a tetra set and use HF

also check this post viewtopic.php?f=10&t=3512

Try also the new Mountain Rescue DMR freqs

Also VHF air 123.1

Bristows St Athan reported to use 131:880 (131.875) for ops.

160.6 is also worth checking, though I've never heard it used by helis.
I reserve the right to ignore people who have made no attempt to the read the manual, and expect others to do it for them.

As a matter of interest 131.880 (131.875) appears to have been adopted at most (all?) Bristow SaR bases.

Hey James, in my experience based in Bridgend CG187 changes/uses a wide range of frequencies i guess based on who they are flying for, ie Coastguard, Police, Blood Wales, mountain rescue etc etc etc, my most recent contacts were on 122.98, a Helimed frequency, and 419.1125 when i've heard training missions around the South Wales coastline.
