SDRplay to release scanning software in February

Postby jon » Wed Jan 30, 2019 10:55 am

Hi from the folks at SDRplay. It's been a long time coming but we are now just a couple of weeks away from releasing a version of SDRuno which will provide a scanning function. As soon as it is available I'll post a link here.
You can find out more about the RSPs and existing SDRplay capabilities by searching the apps catalogue on https://www.sdrplay.com/apps-catalogue/ (for example, select category "reviews")

That sounds good. I keep looking at the SDR Plays & wondering if I should buy one or not.

It looks like SDRuno is available now!

They are a good bit of kit for the price and the front end filters are great at keeping unwanted images at bay, I also have the AirSpy HF+ which is really good as well.
So dig into the piggy bank and treat yourself as you wont regret it, for sure.

Well JGR I'm with you regarding SDRplay kit.

I have an RSPduo and it is great BUT I can not get my head around something so maybe you can help me.

If I enter a frequency directly into the frequency display then SDRplay/uno software will tune to that frequency.

However in the band scope you see a nice bit of activity at say 1.5MHz. If you mouse click in the band scope the lovely begging to be clicked activity then the frequency tuned is not that.

Very frustrating and I'm trying to understand what is going on so maybe JGR you can explain.

I am afraid to say that I cannot help on this occasion and I have also noted that error myself and think it was brought up with the programming team a while ago, not sure as to why the mouse clicks are not as precise as the likes of other SDR software, but I am sure they may try to fix it in due time as it is a learning curve for the team.
