DMR radio that can be programmed by keypad

Postby Alfie » Sun Mar 02, 2014 11:08 am

Does anyone know of a DMR hand held radio which is compatible with mototrbo that can be programmed straight from the keypad ?

When out and about I pick up a lot of digital transmissions esp mototrbo but although I have a mototrbo radio it would be impossible for me to tune into them in the field to listen. Is there a dmr radio like the yaesu or baofengs that you can program straight from the keypad without having to plug into a pc and program with software ?

The Hytera brand of DMR radios can be programmed from the keypad. They are a nice quality radio but come with a fairly high price tag.

There are usually a few available on ebay new and second hand :walkietalkie:

yep silvershadows right , I have a hytera and you can change everything apart from the group if I remember right , I need to have a play with it cause it annoys me that you can't duplicate group codes in the radio so you can only have for eg group 1 once under one frequency etc ,other than that its a nice radio ;)
