Postby Nikon Neil » Sat Jan 25, 2020 9:42 pm

Looking to get back into scanning and thought about uniden ubc125xlt was looking at Blackpool shopwatch etc and noticed before the frequency on the uk listing it says B.I.D. Then the frequency will I still be able to pick them up with the 125 or will they have gone digital. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance Neil

It's encrypted. Quite a lot of Blackpool stuff is encrypted or DMR, even the Tower staff. I can't access my files on my laptop just now, I had very little anyway. All I had was Houndshill (DMR) and North Station which I've posted in here but didn't hear the last time I was down. The trams are around 182 mHz. I'm not sure of the split between the base and the trams, I think its 10 mHz. Anything you find I'd appreciate. I could hear Lancaster's watch from Blackpool, 453.500, 151.4, while staying at the Ibis. Weak but readable

I thought it was trams on 182.400 and 182.550, but I heard the latter today, the control side, the trams are currently suspended. It's the buses.
