Bromley, Shopwatch & Pubwatch - DCS:632 - 453.0250 459.5250
Croydon, Shopwatch & Pubwatch - CTCSS:123.0 - 453.0250 459.5250

Annoying that both areas use the same frequencies as they are so close together (5 or 6 miles). Even with the tones there are clashes.

Croydon have been very quiet lately so I am wondering if they have moved to another frequency and are only using this as a second channel now? I'll keep my ears open!

Welcome moj and robbietee

Stretford is 170.6250

Yep, confirmed as Stretford Mall, the 170.625 is the input (handhelds) and you will probably get them a lot clearer on the output (repeater) on 165.825

Stretford Mall
Manchester
TX: 165.825 MHz
RX: 170.625 MHz

Also the following other confirmed frequency for Stretford:

Stretford Mall
Manchester
TX: 456.875 MHz
RX: 462.375 MHz

i think this is salford pendleton 447.7125 CTCSS 71.9

Thanks for that never heard that one before, will have a listen next time I'm there ;)

Sale is 453.1000 CTCSS 186.2

Are you sure on this one? Manchester centre are on this for sure but I've got Sale listed and confirmed as:

Storenet Shopwatch Security
SALE
TX: 456.825 MHz
RX: 462.325 MHz

This could be what you suspected as Stretford?

also not sure of this either
453.1125 CTCSS 94.8
456.9500 CTCSS 67.0 again not sure where this is ?

Both of those are in use by the Trafford Centre so that might be what your picking up ;)

460.1125 No tone mentions stockport centre ?

453.6125 DCS 025 Stockport merseyway even through the night ?

460.1125 is the input (handhelds) to 453.6125, Stockport Merseyway Security and CCTV, a really busy frequency.

by the way on your video of stockport which frequency was you listening to etc ?

That is Stockports Shopwatch (Storenet) frequency on 453.150 ;)

thanks for the quick reply and most of these were picked up on closecall so thats how i,ve confirmed most of what i heard ;)

i think i,m gonna have to go out on a day scouting each of these areas so i can confirm all the frequencys that are being posted in the manchester area , its a bit awkward though walking through the trafford centre with a scanner in your coat on closecall and trying to note everything down without looking suspicious to cameras :p lol !

i,ve got a massive list so i,ll have to send you what i have so we can def confirm all 2012 frequencys and not what was written in a book 4 years ago :)

Thanks moj and yep it's not always easy, last time we went to The Trafford Centre I spent a few minutes scanning in the car on the top car park then just went in with what I'd found and what I had programmed in with my radio in my middle pocket and a headphone in. I didn't have that long in the car as the XYL was in a rush to go shopping and doesn't always share the same enthusiasm as me for the hobby, especially when she's got shoes to buy and my scanning is holding her up

It was a good day of listening and I only had to nip to the toilet once to lock out a TRBO signal that had been buzzing in my ear the first half an hour, then my kid wanted to walk behind that bear driving the red car that they have and I think I got a bit of interference from the womans remote control who walks behind controlling it

Ammendments to Cleethorpes and Grimsby, info sent me with thanks

Ok update the freq you have for cleethorpes is actually an electrical company doing jobs around the town no shopwatch at all, the Freq you have for Grimsby is Cleethorpes Shop Watch and on a diff CTCSS Novartis engineers. So as yet no Grimsby shopwatch?

Cleethorpes still has original units and is still working same as ever, just been in to Grimsby (Grimsby and Cleethorpes are in effect one town same council etc.) most shops do have a radio next to the till and looks like an ordenary radio not digital. I will have to losten on the freq to see what i can hear.

So we have
Cleethorpes - Shopwatch, Lincolnshire - 456.7500 462.2500
Grimsby - Shopwatch, Lincs (Nelbac) - 453.8500 460.3500

I took out what I thought were dead but they may not be
456.5250 462.0250 Grimsby
453.8000 460.3000 Grimsby
456.0250 461.5250 Cleethorpes

These are registered freqs that fall into the category

Gary Calder (NELBAC) GRIMSBY
TX: 456.525 MHz RX: 462.025 MHz

This Nelbac is the one mentiones by TSY here so I assume this a shopwatch scheme though I can see there seems to be a bit of commotion between radio users in these areas as to what scheme they want to be on lol

The next is
Nick Dando Communications
TX: 456.75 MHz RX: 462.25 MHz

which Cleethorpes Shopwatch is listed as 456.7500 462.2500

GOOD NEWS!

Think I have found the new grimsby Shopwatch Frequency
Grimsby Shopwatch
TX: 455.800 MHz
RX: 461.100 MHz

The only thing is it seems to be linked to Grimsby Town Centre Forum who according to this were shutting shop
http://www.thisisgrimsby.co.uk/Grimsby- ... story.html

Another 2 interesting ones are

Freshney Place Shopping Centre GRIMSBY
TX: 455.85 MHz RX: 461.15 MHz

Freshney Place Shopping Centre GRIMSBY
TX: 453.025 MHz RX: 459.525 MHz

Dee coms who do shopwatch also have a repeater in GRIMSBY on
TX: 455.5 MHz RX: 461 MHz

So still some confirming and working out to be done on these ones 8-)

funny enough i get the same grief off my gf cause she says its like talking to herself whenever we end up going shopping in the trafford centre :p

and i,m currently making something to make it more covert and so it brings less attention to yourself while using the closecall feature , i just wish uniden made a closecall scanner that was the same size as a baofeng uv-r3 then it would be ideal etc ;)

i,ll have to send you a pic once its all modded and made m8 , it annoys me that scanning is a dying hobbie these days when everything is going digital but ive just built a ramsey ss70 box for voice inversion and it works ok so far but thanks to silvershadow i,m gonna start ripping my spare scanners apart to install a discriminator tap aswell, i just hope it works and goes to plan :)
