Crawley town shopwatch

On the existing freqs as listed in wtr, but now mototrbo, using dp4600's supplied by dcrs:

453.0875, cc 8, group 100 shops / pubs, 200 is listed as 'outer / football', so assume the football marshals use it too at the local club (they have road marshals etc during matches) Slot 1 is shops slot 2 is outer.

Anyone know what's going on with Crawley S/W it's been dead all day - has their system failed or have they moved frequencies?

Repeater is on top of county mall, on the lift motor room, so potentially may be something going on there with power etc. the repeater is physically next to their repeater for their internal channel, I would suggest if its a power issue then listen for their internal comms (got to be close, its a uhf downfire antenna) to see if you can hear anything of theirs - no comms, powers out. Its happened many years ago when the system was analogue, took a week or so to get sorted.

Karen the BCRP co-ordinator is based in the mall so if the repeater has gone tits up, shes the sort of person who will have engineers out same or next day to sort it.

Do Crawley SW/PW use encryption? Is the system back up and running now?

No encryption. Its mototrbo digital on a single repeater, so can be listened to with the correct kit.

On the radio itself. Some of us are / used to be radio engineers involved in said schemes...…

Was in Crawley on a Monday and picked up the shopwatch no problem. However, I didn’t pick up anything from the County Mall and considering that’s where I was parked I was a bit surprised. Does anyone know the details for county malls don’t system?

On a different note, do Debenhams own the shopwatch frequency because they seem to use it as their own person frequency, even interruption other conversations
