The Brighton & Hove BCRP operate 4 Seperate channels, they are as follows

1-Nightsafe
2-London Road/St James St
3-Hove
4-City Centre

Does anyone know which of the above frequencies relates to the above channels and also the CTCSS or DTCS codes?

If you are there in the daytime, Ch 4 is the most active. Evenings, Ch1 has all the door staff and support units on it.

Police don't get involved in the system apart from a single pcso with the radio. The main people to listen out for are the 'BID' units, these are the roving street security guards - they wear black hi vis jackets.

You aren't missing much with Churchill square - they don't get involved in any security / shoplifting stuff, they stand and watch as they run through their mall !!. the only comms you will hear from them are things like drinks being spilt and escalators stopping.

It is the same story in my area. In fact all I ever see is PCSOs on the street doing beat and local bobby duties and no "real" coppers on the streets. I don't think the UK police are in their best state at the present time. Too much money spent on stupid expensive radio systems and red tape and paperwork and flashy BMWs rather than on wages for real bobbies

Does anyone have any other frequencies for the Brighton/Hove/Shoreham area?

Shoreham has no shopwatch or pub watch so not a lot there.

Ive found some licenses on the WTR for 'chatterbox' who are a radio company.
456.375000
456.950000

Its listed with Ofcom as digital, I have only had it in the radio a couple of days and nothing heard as yet on analogue (to see if I can hear mototrbo sounds).

Looking at their website, they seem to imply on their events page they do loads of local stuff, including London to brighton bike rides etc.

However they also list a fair few events where I know they weren't the supplier at all (goodwood being one !), and re reading their 'list' it seems like its a list of events, rather than who they supply to......... (sneaky!)

Anyone got any clues if they are temp repeaters, or what they are used for ?

Oh and brighton council has 2 uhf digital repeaters listed too:

453.050000
453.150000

Nothing heard on those either yet.

Theres also 'comcir'

455.562500
455.737500

I hear them on the pubwatch channel, I assume this is their own network, nothing heard yet.

There's been some very odd noises over all 4 Brighton&Hove BCRP Channels over the last weeks. Has sounded like DTMF beeps and scrambled voices. But only on certain transmissions :-/ are they moving over to voice inversion scrambling?
