Woking has been digital for may years, and used to be supplied by Shopsafe.

I believe the council took it over a few years ago, and the licence is in their name. Still mototrbo digital, not sure about encryption. Shopsafe never used to encrypt, however the Guildford system is indeed encrypted, so if the same supplier (dee communications) has got into Woking, you can bet its encrypted.

Best bet is to go and walk around Woking and take a look.

Shopsafe always used to use dp4600 with a screen and partial keypad. Dee and Guildford used non display alt radios - dp3400 and dp4400.

Bit of a sad state of affairs when the choice on spending nearly a thousand quid on a scanner depends on if you can listen to Woking Shopwatch or not :dizzy:

If it is not encrypted there are scanner solutions for less than half the price...
