London buses ibus is not vox, they used to use a coles type mic in the cab (just a sensitive microphone in a box) at head height with a transmit foot pedal on the floor, most drivers have no idea of basic radio protocol or phonetic alphabet and shout loudly with many keying over the controller before they've finished talking

I went down to the London area yesterday and was dismayed to here only Guys Hospital and Crystal Palace Txs are still analogue, all the others now seem to be digital and having a UBC125XLT all I here from the digital transmissions is a horrible noise, what a pity it was quite interesting listening to them while it lasted.

I was OK receiving DMR transmissions up until recently, but it looks like last week all DMR channels went encrypted. Is it the case now?
