Do you also happen to have any details for Cleethorpes Shopwatch? The information I have does not say if it is digital or analogue so I have no information about cc or tg or slot 1 or 2.

This is why most of us recommend that people buy a scanner rather than a tranciver. A scanner is much safer & easier to use in the hands of a total novice who does not understand the basics.

Thank you M0LSX, but surely the way we learn is to read and ask questions i use this transceiver in my job, but thought i would check out digital too hence my question. So if anyone could kindly enlighten me and answer my question i would be grateful as i believed that was what the forum was all about?
and i am far from novice i was just asking a simple question about a setting on a particular radio.

If you use the transceivers as part of your job, then who ever over sees the radios & the companies licence will be the person to talk too, not us. You could cause your company real problems by attempting to play with the radio.

If your company has a licence then they have rigid rules they should abide by & if they are using these radios without a licence on PMR 446 or else where, they would not be very happy if you made a mistake & drew attention to that breech of legal operations, as it could be VERY expensive for them.

I know of someone who was sacked for playing with the companies radios. As it is illegal to own or use a radio without a licence, so using the radio away from a legally held licenced frequency, can be seen as gross misconduct. Like taking a company vehicle without permission & then driving it without a licence.

Ailunce HD1 can only be used on a legally licenced frequency, be that a private frequency or on something like PMR light & without permission from the licence holder, even on PMR light, you are not authorised user & thus pirating.

CC is the Colour Code and TG the Talk Group.

If the radio is not your own then you should not tamper with it or the Codeplug.
Not sure why a company would want to use them over a Mototrbo or other commercial brands.

If you had no intention of using the Ailunce, then why mention it? Why not simply ask what CC & TG means?

The problem is the scanning hobby is being ruined by people with transceivers whose behaviour is making legitimate PMR users go more & more to encrypted use.
