I heard Holme Valley MRT giving out several test calls on boxing day afternoon using 155.85625, TG500, Slot 2, CC 9

They are located about 31 miles NW from me..

Also picked up numerous silent three second transmissions on 155.90625?

I see there's a Yorkshire Lowland Rescue service, what frequency band would they be using?..

thanks

I got criticised, that's putting it mildly, for posting talk groups and colour codes, when did the rules change?

Sorry about that, I'd looked through quite a few older posts that had mentioned talk groups and colour codes, and I didn't realize that it's now wrong to give out too much information..

Never any mods around to enforce any thing now any way. The main reason for not posting Talk groups was to stop idiots txing over them with the cheap radios. Now with most repeaters going to RAS systems it's not so Much an issue. The biggy at the moment is the idiots who post audio clips on Facebook ect then the hire companys are using it as ammo to sell encryption to them after sending them the audio.

Facebook is full of clowns videoing private conversations on their scanners and posting them for their 15 seconds of fame. A employer is obliged to take steps to protect employees so encryption is the obvious solution but try and explain that to some of the dopes who moderate these groups.

I kept getting told to refer to the rules of this site, which is a bit impossible if they don't physically exist. I was also told not to post CTCSS / DCS tones, but the Ayrshire thread has a copy and paste of a list of mine that was on here before I was. If anything makes site like this die off, it's not posting frequency details, it's back seat moderators / admins.

Totally agree.
I reserve the right to ignore people who have made no attempt to the read the manual, and expect others to do it for them.
