I don't quite get that last reply.

Anyone in the proximity of Saltcoats, have a listen and see if they are still on 453.5125 / DCS 023.

Does anyone live in Ayr? I remembered last night that The Kyle Centre seemed to have moved to either DMR or another frequency from 453.9875

Anybody in here in Ayrshire, the Irvine bit or at least North Ayrshire. I'll be back in the area in mid December but my listening in time will be a bit limited.

Hello everyone, I am just wondering if anyone can list all the new Ayrshire digital frequencies with DCS and colour codes please? as there does not seem to be a proper list made up.
I am interested in getting the Irvine shop watch proper frequency and DCS / Colour code also, if someone could post it here it would be much appreciated. I was also picking up what sounded like the Rivergate on 453.33750 but no one has listed the DCS or colour code. Any new Digital frequencies in Irvine area or any where in Ayrshire really would be appreciated.

I can't remember the colour codes and slots, but Irvine shops are on 453.2375, the Rivergate staff, 453.3375, both DMR. Ayr shops and pubs where on 456.350 / 94.8 when I was last there in December. I didn't hear Kilmarnock because of where I was. I didn't hear Saltcoats, the WTR has it as around 455 mHz. I started a thread over 2 years ago called Ayrshire DMR, try having a listen to see if any of them are still current. I now live in Lancashire. I couldn't decode the last time I was up because of my laptop. I'll be in Ayrshire at the end of this month. Any updates would be appreciated. The thread virtually died when I moved. I tried to find the Kyle Centre security. It was on 453.9875 a while ago then it seemed to disappear. I could hear it from Irvine.

   Thanks AndrewIrvine for the feedback, I can confirm that the colour code is 5 for the shops on ts 1, dcs is also 131. I was wondering if anyone on here has invested in an AOR DV-10 or an AOR DV-1? just looking for some feedback on them, as I was thinking of purchasing one. but not sure as I know the rtl-sdr dongles are meant to do same job! but obviously the scanner would be simpler to use. I am handy with computers though, and am in the process of setting up a dongle to see what I can pick up with it. does any one have experience of using the two of them? also does anyone know if easy to setup scanning software for these dongles is available? :mrcool: :?:

How can it have a colour code and a DCS? When it was FM it was 131.

I had my SDR set up for me. I thought Windows 10 didn't like SDR or trying to decode my discriminator tapped pro 2042. It turned out it was the lapto, it runs fine on another. My own laptop is in for repair. I was kind of hoping someone in Ayrshire would take over the thread when I left in June 2018, I'm still the most regular contributor and I've only been home three times. December 2018, then February and December last year..I'll be home from roughly the 28th until March 1st. I want to spend time in Glasgow too.

DCS and colour codes are now a function of digital radios, it was designed for areas with lots of users, like city centres, if some one is using same channel, all you do is select a different colour code. Then the you can talk clear again with no interference. This is what I have read. I hope you are able to find frequencies when you are back home Andrew, Good luck :walkietalkie:
