Hello all, New here. Thanks for adding. Interested in Digital decoding SDR etc, located in Sussex. Have a modest set up for VHF UHF along with some HF bands.

Not a lot going on around here really be nice to be located closer to some airports or military facilities. I do get around for work though so like to keep my ears open. There was this one time i have the bearcat handheld on and hear a shoot on a woodland I needed to get into. Changed my plans that day all thanks for being a nerd.

Hi everyone
new to the Forum and new to the radio world
I have Just recently got a whistler trx1 scanner and really do enjoy using it.
And I am placing an order on a aor dv1 this week
Along with a diamond x50 antenna and a diamond d190 discone
Hopefully some time soon I am going to visit a local radio club and see what it’s like and get some information on getting my foundation.

Hi, thanks for adding me to the forum.

I’m based on the coast of North East Essex and scan with my 3500XLT for marine and civil/mil aircraft. Looking forward to participating in the discussions in 2020 and beyond. :smiles:

Cheers

Hello,

Newbie here, thanks for having me.

Stay in Somerset, have a Uniden UBC 125XLT that I use to listen into ATC mainly, always had a fascination with aircraft and will be starting my PPL journey soon.

Looking forward to learning and offering what little help I can offer :D
Newbie to scanning

For now using a Uniden UBC125XLT.

Hello Ian and Maylandmanta
Are we getting an Essex gathering here?
Also into aero - vhf and hf. Over winter I've been focusing on NDB, MW and DGPS.
Isn't radio fun....?

Hi Guys

I'm Gary and have just joined up.
I'm in the Manchester area and have just got back into my scanner after a few years off.
I have a Yupiteru MVT-7100 which I have had for years.

I have been lead to believe that MCR airport have recently last year changed their frequency's ?

I was wondering if anyone had any info on this and had a up to date list of frequency's ? I have seen the lists on a post on here but they seem to be a from a few years back and I'm wanting a list as of todays frequency's if possible?

Also with my scanner being quite old is it still able to pick up the new frequency's?

Thanks hope to speak to you all soon
