Please help me get started.

I have a kg-uv9d and want to listen to aircraft around me and also marine. I know how to put a frequency in but struggling to get it to scan. Looking to hearing from you thanks.

It is page 40 of the manual & it looks like you have to add channels to the scan channels.
Channels are stored in banks (groups) & you need to select which bank (group) you want to scan. Normally you can scan more than one bank at a time, but with a slow scan rate you could end up missing things if each scan takes more than a few seconds.
It looks like you can also scan bands too, but those bands are huge & with airband, you only need to scan part of it.
I normally scan air band in chunks of between 3 & 5 MHz. Like that I catch the majority of what is available.

You need menu's 48, 49 & 50 from what I can see.
