UBC3500XLT Setup Question

Postby boggit » Fri Aug 03, 2018 1:41 pm

Hi All,

I have followed the manual and set my Systems and Groups within the Systems
I have allocated Quick Keys for the Systems and Groups.
I can scan the Systems/Groups and to some extent select the particular System/Group to be scanned.
However, what I can see is that although only one System is selected the scanner also goes through another GROUP which is in a a different System that I have locked out and therefore NOT selected.

Obviously I've inadvertently set something, or maybe not set something, but I don't know what.

Could you explain a bit better or post a shot of the screen?

His scanner is scanning channels from a group he thought he had locked out.

Sorry boggit, I cannot help as I only have a few channels in my 3500. So although my 3500 is the best part of 15 years old & is used almost exclusively used for close call.

So you have a group in the system being scanned but the quick key is shown as not selected? I would check your quick keys are set correct and are not dubled up.

I find it very helpful to put the system quick key as a prefix to the system name. Then you don't have to try and keep all this stuff in your head!
I reserve the right to ignore people who have made no attempt to the read the manual, and expect others to do it for them.

I have a screenshot but cannot see how to attach it to the message.

Anyway, thanks all for the interest in my problem but I have taken the big hammer to the problem and done a factory reset.
After reloading the setup I had created I find that everything is working as I want and as I expected it to work.

But of course this means I still don't know what the problem was but I suspect it was due to a search option being invoked when I thought I was scanning.
