I think they have moved to Icom IDAS (a form of NXDN).
My BCD536HP (with the NXDN upgrade) detects a brief "NX4" transmission on 166.2875 every 30 seconds with RAN=20, and a similar but more distant signal on 166.75 (cannot resolve RAN), but I have not yet been able to get any audio or other info from either, nor any other SJA freq.
Below is the analog channel plan as it used to be. The 'channels' on each freq were actually different CTCSS tones.
The assigned freqs are likely to stil be used, though channel numbers have probably gone out the window.
Not heard the 153 freq for months.
153.7125 <NFM> NSJ1–6 Red Cross (also used by St John Ambulance)
163.0875 NSJ31-37 St John Ambulance {England,Wales,NI}
163.3 NSJ41–47 St John Ambulance {England,Wales,NI}
163.5125 NSJ21–27 St John Ambulance {England,Wales,NI}
166.2875 <NX4> NSJ St John Ambulance {England,Wales,NI} (rcvd strong Birmingham)
166.6125 NSJ51–57 St John Ambulance {England,Wales,NI}
166.75 <NX4> NSJ61–67 St John Ambulance {England,Wales,NI} (rcvd weak Birmingham)
453.3625 USJ:10–16 St John Ambulance {England, Wales, NI}
Don't know about the Simple UK freqs (again all the channel numbers / CTCSS may no longer be relevant):
164.05 NFM SJA:5 St John Ambulance ~186.2
164.0625 NFM SJA:3 St John Ambulance ~186.2
169.0875 NFM SJA:7 St John Ambulance ~186.2
169.3125 NFM SJA:2 St John Ambulance ~186.2
173.05 NFM SJA:1 St John Ambulance ~186.2
173.0625 NFM SJA:4 St John Ambulance ~186.2
173.0875 NFM SJA:6 St John Ambulance ~186.2
449.3125 NFM USJ:#
