Most of Leedswatch has become encrypted am told due to them seeing online that they were being listened to. Should still be using the same freq.

The above is worth remembering the next time someone feels like posting Colour codes etc on the open forum.

Twaddle . Color codes are just like CTCSS or DCS.

Can't have the public knowing about how much the city council are mugging them can we?
I reserve the right to ignore people who have made no attempt to the read the manual, and expect others to do it for them.

The fact that most people who use PMR's do not realise that digital is not secure & the fact that Colour Codes etc are not the key too listening in, does not matter.
People who use digital radios, largely, perceive all of their details being given away as an issue & it is thus more likely to result in the loss of almost all digital signals to encoding. And that is what matters.
Plus of course Colour Codes etc are not needed by people with a scanner, as they can easily find it. Unlike those with transceivers & this is a scanning forum not a pirate other peoples frequencies forum.
So no one helps other scanner users, or themselves, by giving those details out. The only people we help are those who could be involved in despoiling the hobby even further, by transmitting on others legally licenced systems. As why else would anyone choose a tranciver which cannot find what you want to listen to, over a receiver which can?
Every piece of logic says do not give more details than is needed on a open to the public forum. Keep it private.

People here are the facts :shocker:

For DMR all you need is the frequency. Put it in your dmr scanner and it will decode it

If you cant afford a dmr scanner get a cheap rtl dongle (under a fiver) and use free software sdr and dsd (google for more info)

If you are looking to buy a cheap dmr radio (not scanner but walkie talkie) forget it you need more than the frequency to hear

This aint facebook so you cant like but trust me that is what you have to do

whistler, AOR and uniden have dmr capable scanners, get one of them

Since the introduction of the sub £150 transceiver, the Anytone 868 DMR Tier I and II dual bander, the game has changed...
All the radio requires to know is if the the target DMR signal is simplex or through a repeater, the required TX offset entered, then as long as RAS has not been enabled the DMR signal will be heard and Slot, CC, TG and caller ID will be displayed..
