Leixen VV898

Hi all, I was wondering if anyone could help me understand the above radio please. I have found on here the frequencies for the Mitex General radios and would like to link these with the Leixen, but am struggling to doing it.Can anyone point me in the right direction please, I have very little experience with radio apart from CB in the 80's. The Leixen VV898 is not legal to use on 446 licence free frequencies. It is a 25 watt dual band radio & not designed for use by the inexperienced. Or not unless it has all been set up & then locked to stop inexperienced fingers from changing any settings.

It is actually 10 watts, and is going to be used on a licenced set up, not pmr446, as regards changing settings once it is set there will only be me using it.

The adverts for these are quite misleading really - PMR449??? I've never noticed anyone ever use that term before. Still 446-449? If you buy the licence then all should be fine, as per your other post.
