UBC125XLT & Scan125

Postby sly870 » Tue Jan 14, 2020 8:06 pm

Good evening,

A newbie here!

I am trying to program my new UBC125XLT with the Scan125 program but when I enter some frequencies, they change automatically, for example:

When I enter in a LON CTR freq for example, 132.165, Scan125 changes it to 0132.1666.

Any ideas/advice please?

That is correct .132.165 is an 8.333 Khz channel designation which is converted to the true /correct frequency of 132.1666

As Scan125 author I'm sorry I missed this as I wasn't expecting Scan125 related post to appear hear in the Amateur Radio section.

As pointed out the UBC125XLT does handle some 8.33 steps correctly however it does not get them all correct.

Scan125 has an option and/or frequency prefix to apply Air Band Correction to what you enter. This will correct the errors that the scanner's firmware is making.
